Cheche Group CEO delivered a speech at China EV 100 Forum establishing the strategic position of auto insurance for EV automakers

The 2024 China EV100 Forum was held on March 15th to 17th in Beijing, under the theme of strengthening and expanding the advantages of EV growth. A panel of industry leaders and experts gathered to discuss the emerging trends and potential challenges facing the new energy vehicles industry.

Gang Wan, President of China Association for Science and Technology, noted that it is fundamental for the country to develop new energy vehicles on our road to becoming an automotive industry leader.

Minggao Ouyang, Vice Chairman of China EV100 and member of The Chinese Academy of Science, mentioned that the efforts to realize those goals consist of electrification, intelligence, globalization and decarbonization.

Lei Zhang, founder and CEO of Cheche Technology, shared his insights on the status quo and trends in the NEV insurance sector. He believed, as the NEV market grows faster and smarter, auto insurance sector is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges. Stronger collaboration from all players is needed to explore continuous innovations in auto insurance with the purpose to bolster the sustainable growth of new energy vehicles.

China EV100 is a non-governmental and non-profit policy and academic research institute, with a focus on the electrified automotive industry, regardless of disciplines, sectors, industries and ownerships. It is regarded as a leading think tank in the field of electrified automotives.
